The Stories We Tell Ourselves (Rebecca Omonira-Oyekanmi)

Stuart Hall Fellow in Residence, Rebecca Omonira-Oyekanmi, gave a keynote talk, introduced by Gilane Tawadros, Chair of Trustees of the Stuart Hall Foundation.

Rebecca discussed her career in journalism, which includes a Stuart Hall Fellowship at the University of Sussex that facilitated the work of young writers from working class backgrounds, and promoted thinking on the need for collaboration across disciplines, sectors and communities to use storytelling as a form of survival and interrogation.

This talk was followed by a Q&A on storytelling, journalism, access and inclusion in times of challenge and inequality.
